Today was to be Confirmation Day for our P7 class. Unfortunately the ceremony will not be taking place today, but it will take place when safe to do so. We all must be patient and resilient at this time and our Primary 7 class are demonstrating these characteristics. They are mature enough to realise that they will make this sacrament when the time is right.
Our school and Parish have come together again to mark this occasion. Please see the video below in which Fr Aidan delivers a special blessing for our P7’s on this day. Thank you to Fr Aidan for leading the short but powerful service.
Thanks also to Mrs Reel, the P7 assistant, who has designed a personalised prayer memento for each of the Confirmandi as a keepsake of this date. An example is shown below. This will be something our pupils can turn to if they ever need that little extra help or guidance from above.
Finally thanks to the P7 parents / guardians who Mrs Byrne has informed us have come together to give their children a special gift today. They have named a star in the sky after the class. The certificate is shown below along with the link to the website to find out more.
Primary 7 can now enjoy a couple of days off from their remote-learning, safe in the knowledge that their special time will come.
