A Talk for Parents

We are delighted to offer the Parents of Pupils, from Nursery to P4, the opportunity to attend an informal talk, to be given by, Dr. Jane Mc Evoy, Child Clinical Psychologist.

“Helping Small Children Cope with Big Feelings”

On Wednesday, 10th of April, at 7.30 pm in school

Upset, anger, disappointment, worry, frustration, jealousy,
sadness, feeling left out…. can all be overwhelming for small children. When children become overwhelmed it can be hard to not become overwhelmed yourself!

In this relaxed event:
Learn how to support your child when ‘big’ feelings happen.
Reflect on ways in which you can stay calm when they are in chaos
Learn ways to build their emotional resiliency for the future.

Jane has 26 years experience working as a Clinical Psychologist with children, young people and families. This has been in Primary Care and CAMHS services, both in the UK and Ireland. She regularly delivers seminars and workshops to parents, teachers and other professionals. Jane has also been Honorary Lecturer at the University of East London and Queen’s University Belfast.

As there are a limited number of places and we expect high demand, we ask Parents who are interested to return the reply slip which will be distributed to the oldest in families, as soon as possible to secure their place and to avoid disappointment.
