Dear Primary 4 Parents,
We have received notification that First Holy Communion will take place on Saturday 1st June 2019 @ 11am in St Mary’s Church Mullaghbawn.
Hopefully you will have received home today a list of important dates for the coming year, regarding Family mass, Enrolment Ceremony, First Penance etc.
Mrs Murphy & Mrs Mackin
P3/4 are having our end of year party tomorrow. We thought we’d have a party with a difference so we’re having slipper day tomorrow.
Bring in your slippers or bed socks and we’ll have a relaxing day in class tomorrow. Mrs Mackin has the treats all ready and a movie set for play.
There’s been a great response to the Smartie Box Appeal. So far we have raised £730! Can we make the £1000 target?
Raffle takes place this Friday 15th June.
Make sure your name is in the draw!
Today Primary 3/4 visited Bluebell Lane Glamping site as part of our Eco Schools project. In 2016 pupils from St Mary’s helped to plant some of the 20,000 trees that are situated around the site. Our class took a trip back to see how they have grown over time.
We measured the height and circumference and found out more about the many different types of trees found in the woodland.
We then discovered some of the different plant life in our flower and plant hunt. Primary 3/4 were very lucky today to see small frogs and dragon flies in the pond area. We extend our thanks to Padraig Carragher for his time today, the children throughly enjoyed the experience!
Congratulations to Primary 3 girls Aobha Bellew and Madison Curran, alongside their Gymtrix team mates, who won the Junior D.C competition at the weekend. Well done girls!
Happy Christmas to all in P3/4. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. I’m a very proud teacher after the children’s wonderful performance on Tuesday night. A great end to a busy year. Thankyou for the thoughtful and generous gifts. Now it’s time to sit back and wait for the sleigh bells to ring!
Primary 2 enjoying getting ready for the annual Teddy Bears Picnic. It was a great afternoon enjoyed by everyone. A big thank you to the ladies in the kitchen for a lovely lunch!
