Gardening Club

Well done to the boys and girls of P3/4 for their great work in Gardening Club this week. With a little guidance the boys and girls were able to use the skills and knowledge they gained over the last weeks to plant their own daffodils. I can’t wait to see some photos in the Spring when they begin to flower!

The P4’s were able to see some of the different things they had planted before the summer break. Some lovely spring onions and tomato plants.

Gardening Club

What a fantastic morning Primary 3/4 had in Gardening Club. The children were very busy planting daffodil bulbs at the front of our school. We had a lovely morning learning how to get the soil ready and how to plant our bulbs correctly. It was brilliant to see the excellent teamwork from the boys and girls. Well done everyone!

Peace IV Shared Education Project

Primary 3/4 have been lucky enough to take part in the Peace IV Shared Education Project. We were partnered with Dun Dealgan National School. It has been a brilliant project where the children have explored our local folklore through diffferent mediums. Today was our final day of the project for the year. It has been truly fantastic watching the children form and build friendships with children from Dun Dealgan. They are an amazing bunch of children and should be incredibly proud of themselves!

Gardening Club

Primary 3/4 were delighted to get started in gardening club this week. The children showed great excitement getting stuck in to weeding, planting lettuce, tomato’s and marigolds. We learnt so many interesting facts from Kathleen, our gardening guru! We are all looking forward to getting back into the poly tunnel next week. 😁

Science Magic Show

Primary 3 and Primary 4 enjoyed a visit from W5 Outreach team. The children had to determine if some experiments were magic or science based. Concepts such as gravity and inertia were demonstrated through different experiments. It was a fantastic morning, We hope each of the children enjoyed it!

Designed to Move

Over the last 6 weeks Primary 3/4 have enjoyed taking part in the Designed to Move program with Burns Soccer School.  The children have really enhanced their fundamental skills over the last number weeks.  We extend our gratitude to Burns Soccer school and their Coach for their hard work with the children.
