Brock Cup visits St Mary’s

There were two very special guests of honour at KS2 assembly this morning. The Abbey CBS in Newry recently won the Brock Cup and St Mary’s was very proud to welcome back past pupils, Sean Conlon and Oran McKeown, who starred on the successful team. The boys showcased the cup, posed for photographs (including one with a very proud younger brother) and answered questions, but more importantly they stood as an example of what can be achieved through hard work and determination. They are two great ambassadors for St Mary’s and are living out the school motto of, “Never settle for less than your best!”

Thanks to Oran and Sean, along with their teachers/coaches, Mr Gallagher and Mr Hannon, for making the trip out this morning. It will hopefully help to inspire the next generation of Gaelic footballers in our area.
