Come along to St Mary’s Primary School on Monday 4th December at 7.00 pm and view the fantastic iMovie films created by a group of P 6 pupils and their parents. Each film tells the story of a historical site in the South Armagh area through, photo, narration and music. We are really proud of the work which pupils and parents have put into each of the films and we encourage you to come along Monday night.
Strictly Fever has hit St. Mary’s ahead of Saturday Night’s Show !!
To all the brave Mums, Dads, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Neighbours, Past Pupils and Friends of the school who volunteered to take part a special word of thanks, without you it would not have been possible. We have 315 excited pupils and each and everyone of them is so proud of your achievements not alone at dancing but also in the work you have done to raise much needed funds.
To the all the Parents and Club Members in the “Behind the Scenes Team” likewise a Big Thank You we couldn’t have done it without you!!
To the families, friends and businesses who sponsored so generously, thank you one and all. We are looking forward to an extensive shopping spree when normality reigns once more!!!
We hope everyone who has been lucky enough to get tickets, for our sell out show, enjoys the entertainment. Remember to ensure a seat you need to be there early!!! Show kicks off at 8 pm sharp and as there is a Lorry Run leaving Crossmaglen heading Mullaghbawn way around the same time we advise everyone to leave plenty of time for their journey.
Thank-you to Mullaghbawn, Road Runners who popped into school this week to present a cheque for £255 which they raised by climbing Slieve Donard in horrible weather! This brings to a total of £415 the amount which they have raised for the school I.C.T fund. We greatly appreciate their efforts.
A big thank you to the staff at Ti Chulainn who presented the school with a cheque for £387.66 towards the I.C.T Fund this week. Money was raised at a Family Fun Day event in August, it brings the amount kindly raised for the school by Ti Chulainn to £1, 846.75. Thank you to everyone involved we very much appreciate your kindness and support for the school.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to last night’s great success, Jim played to a packed hall and your generosity in buying tickets or making donations has meant that last night’s event has paid for our new projector and remote controlled screen for the Assembly Hall!!! To be able to tick off one of the bigger items on our shopping list is a great feeling and the projector should be in place the first week in July so in plenty of time for the beginning of the next school year!
A special word of thanks to past pupil and parent, Fiona Larkin, whose idea and contacts got the event for St. Mary’s! Also thanks to all the parents and staff on the I.C.T fund raising team who contribute their time and energy to the cause, it couldn’t happen without you!!
Thanks also to Silverbridge G.F.C, a great team of workers on the night ensured that all went smoothly. We greatly appreciate the support and help given and look forward to working with you again in October for, “Strictly back to School”!!!!
We are waiting on the Capita engineers to call to advise on other equipment/purchases but as soon as they have sorted a few technical problems we have been experiencing we will be shopping for other items on the list!!! We will keep you posted…
