P7 have had a busy couple of months on the Gaelic football field. This week the boys completed their league campaign with a hard-earned victory over Clonalig, securing second place in their section. Although the girls’ team did not have a formal league, they took part in some challenge matches, improving every step of the way. Our boys’ and girls’ teams also recently took part in the Malachy McGeeney blitz. All players who represented St Mary’s did so with great enthusiasm and we look forward to one final event at the McGreevey Cup blitz at the end of May.
Gaelic training continues after-school on Thursdays, with an intra-school blitz also planned for June.
