Grow your own picnic ~ part 2

The Nursery had an extremely busy morning over at Finnegan’s Garden Centre today.  Firstly  we checked the progress of  the potatoes that we planted on our previous visit.  Then we went on a sensory exploration discovering the taste, textures and smells of various garden flowers, herbs and plants.  There was great excitement as we got up close to very friendly snails.   We finished our visit by planting pumpkin seeds and lettuce.   Thanks again to the staff for such a well-planned learning experience, the children really enjoyed it.
