Invitation

Dear Parents,

You are cordially invited to a “Night of Celebration” on Monday 17th of December at 7 pm, as we proudly showcase the work of our young film makers, artists and dramatists who took part in the recent Michael J Murphy, Winter School .

In total around 75 of our pupils were involved in the aptly named, “At Slieve Gullion’s Foot Project” which involved close to 250 pupils from four local Primary Schools.

Pupils from P3 to P7 interviewed and collected oral history and made documentary style, I Movies. P5 pupils have captured the beauty of Slieve Gullion through their art work and P6 pupils have dramatised one of the best known local stories, that of the infamous meeting of Fionn Mc Cool and the Cailleach Beara.

This is a chance for pupils, parents, extended families and friends of St. Mary’s to come and see the I Movies and Drama Film and to view the Art Work which is now proudly on display in our Assembly Hall.

It’s a date not to be missed…you will be blown away by the work of the talented pupils of St. Mary’s and their tutors: local artists, dramatists and IT technicians.

Films are available to purchase we are now taking orders and we will have DVD’s ready for collection on the night. Cost of both the Drama DVD and the I Movie DVD is £6 or 2 DVD’S for £10. They’d make the ideal Christmas pressie, for Granny’s, Grandad’s, Godparents….

We look forward to seeing you there,

Miss Crawley, Miss Mc Ardle and Miss Mulkerns
