Primary 7 Leavers 2020

The P7 year group have bid farewell to St Mary’s for the last time, although this year’s celebrations were significantly different to previous.

To mark the occasion, all of the leavers and their families signed on to Collaborate Ultra for a virtual send-off online. It was great for everyone to be in the one place at the one time. We looked back on some photographs from not only this school year, but also right back to nursery. Certificates were presented to all of the leavers, before the Tierney and Murphy Cups were awarded to the recipients for 2020. Thanks to Mr Pius Tierney & Miss Niamh Murphy for coming to the school afterwards to present the esteemed trophies. The 2020 leavers also kept a long standing tradition going, as they signed their shirts virtually! It was also nice for the children to be able to see and hear from each other and to say goodbye to each other as a class.

After the virtual send-off, all P7 pupils and their families assembled at the school for a surprise car parade through the area. Sincere thanks to everyone from our community who braved the elements to line the route. You all helped to generate a fantastic atmosphere and gave the P7 class of 2020 an experience that they will never forget.

Finally, from everyone at St Mary’s Mullaghbawn, farewell and best wishes to the P7 pupils as they move on to their new schools in September.
