Recently Slieve Gullion Forest walk has been transformed into an imaginative story trail with magical and intriguing tree houses along the way. This work was carried out by the “Sticky Fingers Arts” group. The Arts group have published a book entitled “The Giant’s Liar”, which has been especially written to coincide with the launch of the new Fairy quarter. The story follows Flynn the Elf on his magical journey to find the Well of Wisdom in his quest to save his fairy folk from the wicked witch – the infamous Calliagh Berra. Bluebell fairy (Rozyln Sheridan of Sheridan stage school) is coming to our school to read the story and lead a drama based workshop about the characters. The cost of this exciting experience is £1 per child and should be paid to the class teacher. I am sure the children will enjoy sharing the story with you on your next visit to Slieve Gullion
