Today was a special day in school, as St Mary’s hosted its annual Sports Day. Nursery to P7 were in attendance and there were events such as the egg spud & spoon, sprint, long throw, poc fada and penalty kick. All children also enjoyed an ice-cream, served up by a group of P7s. This was a part of their enterprise initiative and it raised great funds for the school in the process. Thank to SPAR Mullaghbawn for sponsoring the event and providing all children with a goody-bags and medals. Miss McKeown also kept the children and large crowd of spectators in top form with her music system. Finally, well done to all of the children who tried their best in all races and most importantly had fun!
