STEM Ambassador Visits P7A

P 7 A were delighted to welcome to their class on Friday afternoon, STEM Ambassador and “Stress Engineer” with Bombardier, Tom Mc Creesh. He spoke to pupils about his work as an engineer, explaining how he is responsible for a team of people who test air craft components, to make sure they can stand up to extreme pressures. Everyone loved the opportunity to ask questions and to handle real aircraft parts!

P 7 B have a visit to look forward to from Eamon Carragher from Glendimplex, also as part of the STEM Ambassador Programme. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and STEM Ambassadors use their enthusiasm for these subjects to encourage young people to enjoy these subjects.
