With schools across Ireland we are celebrating World Book Day 2025, on Thursday, 6th of March.
Our celebration of reading began at last Friday’s assembly with an overview of some of the books that are available to children through the voucher scheme.
The scheme equips each child with a voucher which can be redeemed for a free book at different outlets, the closest to us are: Waterstones, Sainsburys, The Works and Tescos. The scheme runs up until Sunday 23 March 2025, please check school bags for the vouchers!
👇 Check out the line up of books available, even take a closer look at the covers of the books we introduced at Friday’s Assembly. Discuss with your child the titles and covers and help them come to a decision as to which (age appropriate), book they would like. It’s all about encouraging children to read their way, to find the fun and enjoyment it brings.
Please note, this year we are not dressing up, we are conscious of the pressure and extra cost this puts on families, instead we will have a range of fun activities over the day for classes to take part in.
Our World Book Day motto is: Remember the life-changing superpower of reading!
