To mark Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Activity Week 2024, St Mary’s hosted a range of events and activities.
Pupils designed new versions of their club or county jersey, wrote letters to their favourite players and took part in the kahoot quiz. The weather did not allow us to run off the annual P6/P7 school county blitz, so this will be rearranged. The whole school also took part in a jersey day on the Friday to mark the occasion and support the ongoing cause to raise funds for the “Care for Caolan” campaign.
Some of our pupils are also pictured wearing jerseys to promote the Allianz #stopthedrop campaign, which has been launched to encourage as many pupils as possible to stay involved in sport and enjoy the many benefits which come from this. Well done to all of the children who took part in the activities and thanks to all of the staff members who helped to make it an enjoyable week in the school. Thanks also to Cumann na mBunscol Ard Mhaca for organising the week and all activities throughout the school year.
