P7 are loving the “Engineering box” we won earlier in the year. Â They have been finding out what exactly engineering is and discovering it is everywhere, involving lots of people with different skills, doing different jobs. They know it involves Science and Math and makes the world easier for us and others to move in, live in and have fun in.
Their first challenge under the topic, “Shelter, Structure and Infrastructure.” was to build a bridge using only 3 sheets of paper, so that it would support as much weight as possible! They have also built sheltered bird feeders. These are yet to be tested but as soon as they are varnished, they will hung outside and hopefully our feathered friends will love them as much as P7 do!
