A huge well done to the Indoor 5-a-side girls’ team who competed in this week’s Ulster Final in Magherafelt. The girls have prepared very well for this event and put in a great effort on the day. Unfortunately the points accumulated in the league stage were not enough to see them qualify for the final on the day. Everyone in St Mary’s is extremely proud of your achievement.
Congratulations also to the full girls’ team, who have topped their Malachy McGeeney group and will play in the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Finals’ Day again in 2023. Well done girls and best wishes ahead of your trip to the Athletic Grounds on Friday, April 21st.
The St Mary’s outdoor boys’ team finished in third place in their Malachy McGeeney group, missing out on the Finals’ Day by the narrowest of margins. Hard luck boys. There is still plenty of football, and indeed camogie, ahead in the third term, with the Murray (boys) and Duffy (girls) leagues and the McGreevy (boys) and O’Reilly (girls) championships to come.
