Dear Parent,
We are delighted to announce that our school choir have been asked to lead events at the launch Mass for Catholic Schools’ Week 2019, tomorrow Tuesday, 22nd of January, in St John the Baptist’s Church, Portadown. The Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop, Eamon Martin and representatives from schools all across the Armagh Diocese will be attending, including our own P7 year group pupils.
Arrangements are as follows:
Choir: The bus transporting Choir pupils will leave school at 8.45 am tomorrow, to allow time on arrival for sound checks, positioning for solo singers and a quick rehearsal before the congregation arrive.
P7 Pupils: The bus transporting P7 non choir pupils will leave a little later at 9.15 am.
The following points apply to both Choir and P7 Pupils:
- All pupils should be wearing full school uniform, please bring a coat.
- All pupils will need to bring a packed lunch as we won’t be back in time for dinners.
- Everyone will be home in time for normal home time arrangements.
We wish our Choir and their teachers Mrs Murphy and Mrs Mc Cann all the best, we know they will be fantastic and everyone at St. Mary’s is very proud that they have been asked to perform at such a prestigious event.
