There was a surprise at Assembly this morning for these lucky boys and girls, our friends and partner school Scoil Eoin Pol, Loch an Iuir arranged for each of them to receive a beautifully individually crafted Donegal Pen, with their name engraved. These pupils worked on a Digital History Project, which involved researching and producing a film on a local historic site. When pupils, parents and staff visited Mullaghbawn in November, they gave a guided tour of their chosen site relating the history and stories they had researched.
The company “Donegal Pens” was set up in 2010 by 2 enterprising brothers Ronan and Conor Mc Garvey in their father’s shed, when they were only 13 and 10 years of age. Today they export pens all over the world!
