There were tears on Friday as the whole school community gathered to say goodbye to Mr. Tierney, (aka “The Legend”). After 15 years at St. Mary’s as P 6 / P 7 teacher, he will be sorely missed. A tribute for all his years of hard work was paid to him at a special Assembly on Friday morning, where messages of tribute in song and verse from pupils, staff and friends of the school were sung and read. Whilst St. Mary’s will be a much quieter place without him, we wish him well in his new position as Principal Of Carrickorvaddy P.S.
