Dear P6 and P7 Parents/Guardians
An exciting opportunity for any P6 or P7 pupil interested in Drama has arisen through the Michael J Murphy, Winter School, which runs the weekend of the 8th/9th of November.
The theme for this year is “The Hiring Fair” and information has been gathered on some of the many local people who were hired out at these fairs. Â A play has been written based on their stories by Pauline Lynch and is to be performed as part of the Winter School.
Adult roles are to be played by members of the Lislea Drama Society and the children’s roles by children from Dromintee (Michael J’s old school), and St Mary’s, Mullaghbawn.
Auditions for the children’s roles take place this Saturday, 12th October in Ti Chulain at 10 am. Â Thereafter rehearsals will take place on Saturday mornings and some evenings during the weeks leading up to the performance.
If your child is interested in an auditioning, please accompany them to Ti Chulain on Saturday morning for 10 am, further information about the Winter School can be found on their Facebook Page, “Cuimhneamh”.
