Jersey Day – Friday June 16th

Dear Parent / Guardian,

This week has been designated, “Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Activity Week,” across the country. Cumann na mBunscol organise Gaelic Games and other associated activities in primary schools.

To mark this occasion, classes across the school will take part in a range of activities throughout this week and next. These will include quizzes, GAA art, letter writing to favourite players, football skills and more.

Finally, to mark the end of Activity Week, all pupils are invited to wear a jersey or sports t-shirt to school on Friday, June 16th. A donation of £1 per child or £2 per family would be greatly appreciated. All proceeds will go towards the charity, “SERVE.” Past pupil Colum Og Marks will travel with the charity to Mozambique this July. Colum Og will spend one month carrying out charitable work on sites building schools and homes for some of those most in need of such basic privileges.

P1 and P2 are going on their school trip on Friday and, as their teachers have communicated, should wear their PE uniform on their trip. They will have their non-uniform day next Monday (June 19th).

We wish Colum Og well for the summer ahead!
