This week our P7 pupils who signed up for the Cycling Proficiency Scheme completed their final practical assessments and theory test. Participants were presented with certificates to mark their achievement.
Since returning from the Easter break the children have taken part in sessions designed to build their cycling skills and deepen their understanding of road safety. Their progress has been impressive but they know that completing the scheme does not make them experts or guarantee their safety. They are reminded to stay alert every time they cycle and to always wear a helmet.
Well done to all of our pupils on this accomplishment and thanks to all of the parents and family members who facilitated their participation by arranging for their bikes to be taken in to school.
