When Therese from the Ring of Gullion called in to P7 today, she brought along some surprise visitors, a stuffed red squirrel and a pine marten. The red squirrel we easily identified but we had never seen a pine marten before. She told us that they are the only natural predator of the invasive grey squirrel which has been bullying our native red squirrels out of their environments.
