🎨 Online Art Session for Children’s Mental Health Week 🎨

As part of “Children’s Mental Health Week” our P4 to P7 year groups enjoyed a relaxing Friday morning, prior to the mid-term break, with Sinead from “The Art and Design Factory”.

Using Monet’s “Path in the Wheat at Pourville” as inspiration, Sinead explained to the children how to think about the fore, mid and back ground of a painting. She demonstrated how to divide up a page and how to position the different features of Monet’s work in the children’s own versions of the famous painting. After completing their sketches our budding artists used paints and oil pastels to add colour to their work.

A big thank you to Sinead for inviting us to join her online, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the session and were delighted with their paintings… and very chilled out going into the mid-term!
