🏫P6 Parents- St Joseph’s High School, Taster Day 🏫

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Our P6 Pupils have been invited to a “Taster Day” by St Joseph’s High School, Crossmaglen, on Friday, 23rd of February. (A letter will be sent home, but a copy of the information is given below. 👇)


  • P6 Pupils will travel on the regular buses serving St Jospeh’s HIgh School. (St Joseph’s KS3 pupils will avail of a study day that day, so will not be travelling on the buses. School starts at 8:30 am, so Parents you will have to find out from neighbouring households what time your child would need to be at the bus stop closest to you.
  • P6 should wear their St Mary’s uniform.
  • P6 will need to bring indoor sporting gear, for sports activities
  • P6 Pupils will be split into 10 groups for the day. They will be given the opportunity to work in and experience the following subjects: P.E., Science, Technology and Design, Home Economics, and Music.
  • Each session will last approximately 1 hour.
  • Break will be @ 9:45- 10:00am and lunch 12:00-12:40 pm, and both will be provided by St Joseph’s. It is imperative that you inform St Joseph’s of any medical or special dietary needs, including allergies. Children in receipt of Free School Meals will receive lunch as usual. 
  • Pupils will go home @ 2:35 pm on school buses.
  • If your son/daughter has a statement of Special Educational Needs and requires adult assistance please inform St Joseph’s at your earliest convenience so that support can be offered.
