Notice to Parents/Carers
The school has been informed that there are a number of children enrolled with us who have been diagnosed with Streptococcus (Strep A). It is important that you monitor your child’s health paying particular attention to conditions such as:
· flu-like symptoms, such as a high temperature, swollen glands or an aching body.
· sore throat (strep throat or tonsillitis)
· a rash that feels rough, like sandpaper (scarlet fever)
· scabs and sores (impetigo)
· pain and swelling (cellulitis)
· severe muscle aches.
· nausea and vomiting.
Should your child present with any of the above symptoms it is important that you arrange an appointment with your Doctor. A medical intervention is a necessary response to a confirmed case.
In the event of a definite diagnosis of the ailment your child should not return to school until the infection has passed.
