Dear P7 Parent/Guardian,
During the month of June as part of our Pastoral Programme we usually run a Parent/Pupil Transition workshop for all P 7’s as they begin to think of their next exciting but daunting step as they prepare to move on to Post Primary School.
We believe that this year it is even more important than ever to participate in this programme and have therefore rearranged this event as a “Virtual Workshop”.
It will take place next Thursday, 25th of June at 7 pm, a link to the virtual room will be sent on that day to your child’s Google Classroom. The workshop is facilitated by REIMS and funded through our Extended Schools’ Cluster Group.
The workshop provides practical information, tips and guidance on how to make that transition with the minimum of stress for both you and your child.
Topics to be covered in the session include:
- Getting used to your new school
- New friendships
- Communicating effectively
We look forward to greeting you and your P7 child “virtually” and ask that you spread the word to all P7 Parents, this is an important event. It will last approx 45 mins to 1 hour.
