Dear Parents/Guardians,
We have confirmation of a second positive Covid case in our Nursery Class. This child attended school on Thursday, 17th. This means that any Nursery Children/Staff in attendance on Thursday, 17th are close contacts of that child and their isolation period is now extended by a day, up to and including 27th of June.
A similar situation occurs for any of Mrs Nolan’s P2 pupils who attended on Thursday, 17th and were therefore close contacts of the 2nd confirmed case in P2, they likewise must extend their isolation by one day up to and including 27th of June.
A copy of the letter from PHA is attached below and will be posted out in due course.
At this point there are two class bubbles that have been compromised, a school bus, and afterschool to the 2pm point. We do not know how significant the infection rate is until we receive feedback from those who have been advised to get a test for their children. Whereas we haven’t reached the required number to declare the school closed you may wish to consider your personal circumstances and the potential of isolation notice being posted to you.
At this point we are cancelling all After-school Activities including Martina’s after school provision for the remainder of the term.
